Enjoy a guided bicycle tour of historic Skagway, Alaska!
Touring Skagway by bicycle is a great way for the entire family to experience the town. Your senses are aroused while enjoying a fun and informative outdoor experience. You tour begins downtown as your knowledgeable guide escorts you to several of the important and historic sites. While biking you visit the historic district, commercial waterfront, Pullen Pond, the William Moore Cabin, residential Skagway, and the Gold Rush Cemetery. At each stop your guide tells you exciting stories of Skagway's gold rush past and about life in the great north! Your bike ride concludes in downtown Skagway.
Add more value to your tour at an additional cost for a light lunch and tour of Jewell Gardens. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the beautiful show gardens at the historic Henry Clark Farm site. Watch the model "G" scale train in full operation. You may also be able to view from the grounds the skilled and talented glassblowers creating beautiful pieces of art in their studio. After your leisurely garden tour you savor some of our favorite menu items including smoked salmon or veggie quiche, homemade soup, & fresh garden salad.
TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
Notes: Participants that ride must be confident on a bicycle with hand brakes. To ride a full size bike you must be at least 10 years old and 4'6" tall. Children will be fitted to either a 24" bicycle or tag-a-long bicycle (which connects to a full size bicycle). Trailers are available for younger children and must be pulled by the parent or legal guardian. Helmets are required. Helmet, rain jacket and pants, and fleece gloves provided.
