Cannery Cove Bicycle Tour - Haines

Tour Haines by bicycle. Learn about the colorful local history as you bike from our shop through beautiful Fort Seward. This 1904 US Army facility was the first of its kind in Alaska and is now a listed national historic site.

From the Fort, we head south away from town and enter the natural world. We bike along the Chilkat River estuary and ocean Inlet to a secluded cove overlooking the historic Chilkat Cannery. We stop along the way for photographs and wildlife sightings. Bears and bald eagles frequent the area.

You will have the chance to view local birds, wildflowers, marine mammals and inspiring mountain vistas. The tour includes a smoked salmon snack.

Cost: $85 plus 5.5% local sales tax

Duration: 3 hours

Restrictions: Minimum 3 - max. 12 people. Minimum age: 10.
